Everything With Fries has a lot of... Fries. Naturally. Their fries are not bad but not really extremely special. I would say they don't even taste as crispy as MacDonald's. But the flavors are rather unique.

Ice lemon tea.

My lamp burger with lots of fries. Salt + vinigar flavor. The burger is alright, better than Mac standard but only marginally better. While french fries don't have the "fresh out of frying pan" feeling, it does come in interesting flavors. Salt + vinigar made a vinigar maniac like me felt a sore in my mouth. Eh... I put that in a positive light.

Some Nutella pie/tart thingy... EXTREMELY sweet, eat at your own discression. But it tastes rather nice.

Vanilla Cream Crepe. As we dig into this one after the previous one, it tastes surprisingly bland in comparison. But still, nice and rich.

First day in new church and the message I received is to "make peace with my past"... How do I do that, I have zero idea. Glad to see that His promise is for me and me only but not for me and the church I'm in or me and some other criteria. Anyway, I'll just carry on doing what I'm doing I guess.

Anyway, went out with a few friends. We tried to cosplay as tourists... Not very successful even though we are mostly "technically" foreigners. Click to enlarge, as usual.

Concentrating on the interesting wall texture. Mmmm... And true men wear pink! Not white!

I am proud of my focus! Friends waiting for friend.

We are cosplaying tourist today.

I present you, Liang yang!

Portrait practice, not fully happy with it.

Ok, now, the food. Today's lunch is at Mad for Garlic. Price range is at about S$20 which is common for restaurants. In fact, for the ambiance, I would consider this price to be cheap.

Some really impressive looking fancy garlic bread. You should try it, you have no idea how fancy it is.

The lighting at that place is almost perfect for photography.

Pizza is nice but not really any special. Price is low compared to pizza in general but they are thin and not really very filling at all.

My dish, some dancing salsa with beef. It is fantastic though a little too salty (remember I'm used to really blend food). The egg is the best part. When mixed into the rice, it tastes milky, yes, bloody milky. And it's good!

Lobster pasta if I'm not mistaken, Kok Hon's.

Ho Fai's crazy rice. Proportion is enormous and it's pretty good.

Saw a bunch of Lotus on the way home. 15+ of them! Together! LY's maiden shot with my camera.

Lotus!

A lot of troubles lately, army, life, faith, etc. But I guess everything will be turning out just fine. Because I know Him and His plan. This may sound a little crazy but I know everything will turn out just fine.

Oh, and I think my photography has really improved. What do you think?

Went to church and went back to Changi region today. I think I've more or less completed the photography of area near Changi so I should move on. Glad that He held His promise but hey, it's Him we are talking about. Really wish He would fulfill my prayers like He always did, perfect job for her, beautiful relationship for them, fantastic grades for them, peaceful relationship for them, etc. Avoided everyone because talking is difficult...

Ok. Quick review here so no extra crap.

Interesting location, background isn't too plain, or too messy. Good clouds would probably be necessary.

All these beach areas make interesting clouds necessary. Anyway, a relatively clean and fenced off beach. Fences maybe included or excluded depending on need.

A good substitute for a chair. Maybe included as object of interest as well.

Another interesting fenced off area with plenty of props around.

Lovely texture. May be used as variation to the endless sandy or sea background.

The usual lovely path.

Stairs as props or chair. Interesting colors.

Interesting place though it's a little muddy. Good for background.

Good old grass patch, perfect for lying down.

Another good "chair" for sitting shots.

Flowers, perfect props for girls. Can be used as a distraction too.

Another pretty path.

Changi Point is much less interesting. Some fountains that would be nice if I can "freeze" the motion. That means day shoot and not night one.

Though displays like this are always something nice to use as props.

Hahahahaha! CS 1.6 is actually quite fun despite how old it is. DOTA is unpleasant as usual, just don't get why it's fun. You are required to memorize so many things and the game punishes you further for being a noob. The only fun I guess is the fact that you play with someone you know but won't it be better if the game is fun and you play with someone you know?

Oh well... Click to enlarge.

I like how smooth the background is. Mm... Smooth!

Do I also have my mouth half open when playing?

Lim

Seems like he's pounding my head...

Portrait practices

Oh yea, my dish. Reasonably happy with this picture. Modified the food a little to make it more interesting.

There's no better time to grab my camera, head out and take a walk than when there's a lot of family issues running through my head. So that's what I did. Since I have a very unique and special shoot to prepare for, I went ahead to scout out some locations.

This one is at Punggol Park and its surrounding locations. Not a bad place, plenty of places that one can do interesting stuff with. But the color of this place is a little dull. Water is brownish and most objects are of dull yellow or green hue. The few brightly painted places naturally took center stage. Though honestly, this shoot has truly revealed to me how wrong I was about landscape shots and how I should do it in future. I always thought landscape is about... Landscape. Now I realize that landscape is 50% foreground (anything interesting and catches the eye, even if it's just a bench) and 50% landscape. I imagine I would take better landscape in future. And perhaps whenever in doubt, lie down on the floor. Unless it's full of ants ready to take a big bite on you (which was what happened...).

Right! Chair in the foreground, house in the back. Color is a little dull even after enhancement. Chair is good for a series of poses though probably with people, angle will change too. Orange roof makes interesting background.

Need to wait for a day with more interesting sky and clouds and perhaps find a way to avoid the construction site to the left. The flowers can at most be used as props and this scene may be best avoided to prevent the flowers from stealing too much attention from the subjects.

Again a place for interesting poses and things to do. More interesting than a bench.

A long straight, beautiful walkway for all the hand holding, leaning strolling goodness. Bumped up the color intensity a little too much though.

This is very interesting prop. A stool to bump up the subject's height and woooo... The options and opportunities!

Another sweet sweet long path way near Tampines Road. With lush green plants too.

Another sweet sweet piece of prop. Exercising, smiling, movement... Yea!

Ok, that's  Punggol Park. Next stop, probably Punggol water way.

Oh btw, the label system. Going to put down some labels in my title to classify photography section so I can find what I need. Yeap.

Alright. My grandfather just past away. Well, I don't know (or in fact, like) him very much but still, it's an uncomfortable that a member of my family has just passed on. You see, from young, I hear and experience stories about how much he doesn't love me. Or rather, don't love me as much as he should. Then again, how much should he love me? Still, I was never really close to him. Maybe because he stays in Shenzhen and is never really near me most of the time.

Then, came issue with inheritance. He's not a millionaire. But all his children and someone else all believe that he/she has the "right" to have it. They all claim that it is not because they want it but it's rightfully theirs. Anyway, problem is still around me...

Now that he's gone, I pray that he has peace no matter where he is right now. He spent his life looking for it but never found it towards the end. Thus I pray for him that he has found it beyond the grave.

Have peace, leave well.

Alright! Culina. Definitely not a cheap place. Cheapest main is above 25. The taste however, is good too. It is what you would expect from a good western restaurant.

About S$100. Most expensive piece of beef I've ever eaten.

Alright, beef's timing is good. It's juicy and tender. Everything you would be expecting from the wagyu, the price tag too. The mushroom sauce is good. Not strong enough to take the flavor away from the beef yet enhances its goodness. However, there's nothing special about it. I think it's a piece of near-perfectly cooked beef. But it lacks that something special that usually catches my eyes (e.g. jelly fillings, well, that's just what immediately came into my mind). But it fits my Dad's style. "What's the best piece? ... Ok, I'll take that." He desires nothing less than "best".

Lamp chop of my Mom's. The catch light of the day.

Right! Spotlight went to lamp chop. It is the most juicy and flavorful piece of lamp I've ever eaten. It is like... like... Doctor Who married Evangelion (Hahahaha! What would you expect? And you know what? It is technically possible! Alien marries alien!).

The swirls technically suggests the fish is jumping out of water.

My fish. I must comment on how beautiful it is created. It is almost that the chef knows that I'm holding a camera. Then I must comment on my HORRIBLE photography! There are A MILLION better angles that I could have used and I must use the MOST unattractive, uncreative, untasteful one. GOD! I SUCK!
