Beppu! The name of this places sounds just like most Japanese phrases, extremely cute. I always thought Japanese to be one of those languages that sound really nice. Can't really rate Mandarin and English since I'm too familiar with them, German sounds really vulgar, Korean sounds strange, French sounds pretentious, and Japanese sounds cute.

This sums us up really well.
I present to you... CHERRY TOMATO!
Met Ivan's friends. Have no common language is really a bummer though. I was hoping to learn some Japanese culture. They introduced to us this sushi restaurant, it's cheap and good, reasonably cheap at least. Apparently sushi is not considered as "cheap" in Japan.

A strange egg salmon sushi, strangest I've seen.

The sushi/sashimi chef stripping a fish down to its flesh. His speed is amazing.

It is quite an irony how people hate to go to hell, but desperately want know what it is like. It was refreshing to travel with locals but the inability to communicate makes things really weird at times.

雄伟的草泥马!

I HAVE DISCOVERED YOUR ULTIMATE SECRET!

70-200 is really good for flower photography. Really good!

Feet hot spring. Really hot apparently.

Eating at some random small shops tonight. It's local food night! There is this very nice seafood store (the one in the picture) in Oita station. It not only gave us the chance to eat the freshest giant oysters but also gave us free bowls of rice to go with the extremely salty (and expensive) fish roes we bought. I think the local uses it as flavouring like soy sauce. We had no idea how salty it is. Eating it raw is madness. But with the rice given to use, it is really nice!

We wanted to pay for the rice but the store didn't accept our money. Really nice people!
